- Level 3 - Disaster Recovery
Any situation where a server or critical service is down. Some examples include recovering from a service that won't start like Exchange Server, recovering a server that will not boot (blue screen) or performing a complete server restoration from a backup. - Level 2 - Server or Advanced Network
Any work done on a server. Some examples include user or shared resources maintenance, working with backup or anti-virus products, working with Exchange Server, IIS or SQL Server. Any work done to program and maintain a router or firewall. Network or security analysis and design. - Level 1 - Desktop or Basic Network
Any work done on a networked desktop. Some examples include help with Microsoft Office, software installations, joining a desktop to a domain. Any time spent on communicating with a vendor on the client's behalf. - All time is billed to the nearest tenth of an hour.
- Travel time is billed at a rate lower than Level 1.
- Each consultant keeps a daily log of work done (in summary) and time billed.
- Every two weeks, the client will receive an invoice with a copy of the work log.
How We Work With Our Clients - EMETEK requires the client to appoint a liaison for our consultants to work with. This liaison will be the focal point for users to log support incidents.
- It is recommended that the client maintain a written log of support incidents: the description, date, resolution and date of resolution as best as possible.
- When we need help onsite (reboot a machine, restart a router, follow up on issues etc.) we will call the liaison.
- Make sure that users report problems as soon as they occur. Very often this can stop small problems from turning into bigger ones.
